Congratulations! You’re now the proud owner of a reconditioned or newly converted Rural Ranges Electrickit Aga! But where to begin? We hope you’ll have many years of happy Aga cooking on your reimagined cooker but whether you’re completely new to Aga cooking or have spent decades perfecting traditional Aga techniques, getting started with a new system can feel a little intimidating. Follow the simple signposts below and you’ll soon be headed in the right direction….

Electrickit key points

• 2 and 3 oven models features 5 elements, 4 ovens feature 6.

• Independent control of hobs and ovens

• 2 right hand ovens controlled together (but now with enhanced control of bottom oven), hot cupboard independent (4 oven)

• Warming plate operates when ovens below are on (4 oven)

• Digital temperature display

• Advisable to leave hobs no higher than half heat when not in use

• Replacement hot spots - induction available

• Complete replacement insulation

• Hob settings 0-8, hot cupboard settings 0-8, top oven full temperature control, bottom oven 8 settings

• Fully integral wifi timer option available.

• Roasting, baking, simmering can be done in both the right hand ovens

Heat up times

Ovens reach 180c in 48 minutes, or 220c in 61 minutes. An additional 30 minutes saturation time should be allowed to eliminate hot spots when cooking more delicate dishes.

Hobs reach simmering temperature in 13 minutes and boiling temperature in 19 minutes.

A 1.6 kw or 3kw induction is available for instant heat if preferred.
