Charlie Tabletop Ovens

Charlie tabletop ovens are a smaller version of their charcoal oven. Instead of moveable castors, it stands on solid feet and can be built-in to your outdoor kitchen, or stand upon Charlie’s Base Cabinet. This is an oven with the same exceptional cooking abilities as the larger models, but with 6 racks instead of 9, and a more compact size to fit with your kitchen. Despite it’s smaller size, it still has nearly twice the cooking capacity of a conventional oven.

These tabletop ovens can sit on a standard height worktop, or on a 75cm high drop-counter. Cleverly, even with it’s ability to reach temperatures of up to 400c, the superb insulation means that the outside of the oven is safe to touch and is therefore perfectly fine sitting next to other surfaces, with just a 5cm recommended gap.

Exceptionally easy to use, this gorgeous oven is simply controlled by opening and closing the vents, choosing the rack height to suit your oven, and adding charcoal and wood for smokier flavours. Made in Britain, this is an oven built to last and comes with a 3 year warranty.

How it works:

Charlie Tabletop works exactly the same as the freestanding range. There are only two controls on a Charlie oven: the lower vent control knob, which draws air into the oven, and the upper vent control knob, which lets air and smoke escape through the chimney. When you light the oven, both vents need to be open. A small pyramid of lumpwood charcoal is placed on the grate’s centre inside the oven and lit with the aid of a natural firelighter. The door is then closed, and the oven gets to work. When there oven reaches the desired temperature, the vents are pushed almost closed, and you can start cooking. That’s it! This is easy, hands off cooking, but with high quality results. You really don’t have to be an expert to end up with the mouth-watering food Charlie owners enjoy.

The Charlie Tabletop Oven is £4,500 including VAT and comes with a 3 year warranty.
