Eliminate servicing costs, dramatically reduce running costs and experience a more flexible cooker, whilst retaining all the qualities of the traditional Aga by converting with Electrickit. This revolutionary kit offers all the flexibility and low running costs of the latest Aga models but at a lower price point and without needing to replace your existing Aga. Electrickit can be fitted into almost any existing Aga (subject to condition), including even some of the very earliest solid fuel models. We also supply and install high quality reconditioned Agas converted using Electrickit.

Designed and manufactured in Devon, Electrickit has become renowned nationally and internationally as the market leader for flexible electric conversion. Our customers say it is reliable and energy saving.

In September 2023, we switched to the new Electrickit Classic which builds upon the strengths of the Original but with improved heat up times and greater efficiency than ever before. Coming in Summer 2024, the Advanced joins the line up, with full programmability.

“Since having a reconditioned Electrickit Aga installed by Rural Ranges our consumption has dropped considerably... We are so pleased with this Aga and the service Rural Ranges have given us..the cosy warmth they give out on tick over and it’s just a flick of a switch to get them up to level - it’s revolutionary!”

Why is Electrickit more efficient?

Concerned about the cost of running an electric Aga? Electrickit cleverly re engineers your existing Aga shell for maximum modern efficiency making it considerably cheaper to run than a standard 13Amp Aga or standard 13Amp conversion. Over the course of a day the Aga is completely rebuilt, with the loose fill insulation removed and replaced with purpose built blankets with superior insulative properties.

Individual elements serve each hotplate, enabling you to individually control each hotplate. Usually the hotplate is turned on for use and is up to full temperature in 18 minutes, the temperature can then be adjusted using the control knobs. An induction hotplate is available as an alternative.

Oven elements are fitted above, below and between the ovens and the roasting oven temperature easily adjusted on a digital display. The simmering oven runs at approximately 65-70˚ below the roasting oven temperature. An additional knob offers the ability to fine tune the bottom oven temperature, increasing the temperature as high as full roasting temperature if desired. 4 oven conversions have a further control knob for the hot cupboard, with 8 settings.

Running Costs

As with all Agas, it is very difficult to accurately predict running costs as every household will use their converted Aga differently. However tests show that when used to maximum efficiency (only running the Aga when required) costs may be as low as £2 per day or below.

If room heat is a priority costs may well be considerably higher in the cooler seasons. For example running the top oven at baking temperature, with the bottom oven at simmering continually, will cost £20.17 per week, whilst running both the top and bottom ovens at 220° will cost £32.43 (April 2024 price cap revision). This may be offset by much lower running costs in the Summer season.

Leaving the hot plates on at low heat will increase running costs – for most efficient use, hobs should be turned on only for use.

Customer Review;

'Thank you so much for the great service which we experienced whilst ‘refreshing’ our 36 year old Aga : it looks like the day we installed it as a wedding present for each other !

Bryony, you personally have always communicated effectively and both Alex and Nat who handled the installation were courteous, professional and gave us helpful technical information .

The whole experience of working with Rural Ranges tells me that you all really care about the customer…well done to all the team and a big thank you again from us all.

Ps.

We are going to recommend you to a friend who has just purchased a significant property…with no Aga…which is actually a sin !'
