Aga Removal and Replacements

No Fuss Aga Replacements From Rural Ranges

If you are replacing your old Aga with something new, Rural Ranges are ready to assist you. We carry out Aga removals and replacementsin the South West, across the UK and even beyond.

Here, we'll talk you through exactly what to expect when arranging an Aga removal and replacement from your home.

Preparing for an Aga Replacement

When you first contact us about an Aga removal, we will ask you to send us photos of your Aga - we'll want a photo of the whole aga, a photo showing the lids up with the hinges visible, and one with the control panel door open. From these photos, we assess your aga for any potential value to us. Don't worry; we don't take into account the condition, it is purely so we can see whether it is a popular model which we can recondition for resale.

This process could potentially make the removal cheaper for you. If the Aga has any value to us, we can offer discounted or even free of charge removal.

If you are looking to replace your Aga with one of our range cookers, we can also offer part exchange, free of charge removal or discounted removal, depending on what you choose to replace it with. We'll ask what you require from your new cooker; your preferred size, induction or gas hob, your chosen aesthetic and your budget, so that we can select models to suit your needs.

What to Expect from an Aga Removal and Replacement

After we have had a good look at your photos, we will give you a quote. This will include removal and disposal of your Aga and delivery of your new cooker on the same day. If you'd like your new cooker delivered on a different day, this too can be arranged for an added fee.

Prior to your removal, we will run through a checklist with you, such as reminders to turn your Aga off, disconnect it if it hasn't been arranged that we are doing so,* and making sure your electricity and gas is in place for the new installation.* We will also ask for photos to show the clearance gap beside your top plate and worktop. This is because we will need to remove the top plate in order to remove your Aga, and therefore need a 3-5mm clearance gap. If you have a splashback or tiles that sit on top of the Aga, they will need to be removed prior to removal day. Finally, we will ask you to confirm that there is good access to your property, including whether we can park a van outside your house, whether there is gravel, grass or steps to navigate, any narrow door widths or anything else relevant that may restrict access or make the job difficult to complete.

*We can disconnect old services including gas or oil. If we are not disconnecting your services, this will need to be done
before we arrive. All relevant services need to be in place before installation.

*If we are installing a new cooker after a removal, we can install your Aga on top of your plinth, but we do advise that you have the plinth removed for a finished look and to ensure the cooker is at the correct height. If you have a concrete plinth, then we can deliver your cooker but you will need to source you own electrician to complete the installation.

Why Rural Ranges?

Our Aga removals are an all-inclusive, same-day service. With a little bit of prior preparation, we can remove your old Aga and install your new one on the same day, without having to involve numerous different trades and companies.

This means you can have your Aga removed, buy a new Aga or range cooker, and then get that new cooker installed all by us. You can replace it with one of our reconditioned Agas or choose from our eclectic collection of range cookers, such as Bertazzoni, Lacanche or Esse. If your removal is part of a bigger renovation project, we can work with kitchen designers, planners and electricians to plan your removal or installation around the rest of your work. We can also advise on complimentary accessories and appliances such as extractors, fridge freezers, or built-in oven options. It is a personalised service where you, the customer, are in control, liaising with us directly instead of juggling between different companies and their various complicated calendars.
