About Us

OUR STORY ….

A note from Steve & Alison

In 2017 we founded Rural Ranges - a husband and wife team, comprising an Aga / Rayburn engineer of now 20+ years experience and a former chef and food writer with an eye for creativity and an innate drive for excellence. We and our small team of dedicated individuals are committed to offering the finest cookers, unparalleled expertise and the friendliest service. Alongside servicing and maintenance, we have grown to offer a range of complementary services and become renowned as suppliers of the very finest reconditioned Agas, which we supply and install across the UK and internationally. Our product, like our service, is completely personal - we pride ourselves in helping you to find the very best fit for your home, lifestyle and budget and bringing your dream to life.

Over 6.5 years in business, we have grown from a desk at home, to a farm shed, onto a starter unit and into our long term Bridport home. Over the past 2 years, we have honed our new premises, building our brand new showroom within. In August 2022, we welcomed Lacanche and Bertazzoni Cookers to our offering and now supply a greater range of cookers and appliances than ever before.

Our showroom showcases the very best of what we have to offer. Alongside working traditional and controllable Aga models, our 1.5m Lacanche Citeaux sits centre stage. We have 3 different Bertazzoni models on display and a selection of our special bespoke finishes. Our small but growing cookshop and textiles collection offers a range of both beautiful and practical solutions for your kitchen and beyond - from drying racks for your Aga, to shelves and trays purpose made to fit the runners, Bake-o-glide and Hug Rugs for your most treasured pet. Our own textiles collection offers a bold and modern alternative to the whimsical prints widely available. We hope you will love the collection as much as we have loved creating it.

We are always looking to grow and improve our services. Do leave us a review and let us know what you would like to see next.

Rural Ranges Ltd

The Team

Steve – Founder, Director & Engineer
Steve has been living and breathing Agas for nearly 25 years. Factory trained in Telford, Steve covers Oil, Gas, Electric and Solid Fuel Agas and Rayburns. From the most obscure conversion to limited edition models or the Control Series, Steve has a deep knowledge of the entire Aga / Rayburn range, as well as conventional cookers.

Alison – Co-Founder & Director
Alison divides her time between running the office and looking after the needs of the team and nattering all things Aga on the phone or in the showroom with current and prospective customers. As a passionate Aga owner and cook, Alison prides herself in helping find the model for every prospective buyer, then working together to ensure that aesthetic and practicality are achieved in equal measure.

Jamie – Operations Manager
Jamie is our resident Electrickit wizard and refurbishment perfectionist. With years of experience under his belt, he now works full-time in the workshop, where his eye for detail is second to none. Nothing gets past him – every nut, bolt and setting is checked, double-checked and perfected. His knowledge of Electrickit and the intricacies of each model is unparalleled and a key ingredient in the evolution of our service.

Bryony – Office & Customer Support
If you’ve called us, chances are you’ve already spoken to Bryony! She’s the calm, organised voice at the other end of the line, making sure everything runs smoothly ahead of installations, and keeping quotes and appointments in check. She also brings her creativity to our social media, technical guides, and website – so she’s often the reason you find what you’re looking for online too.

Nat – Build & Conversion Specialist
Nat is hands-on with builds, conversions and removals and also helps train newer members of the team. With a background in racing mechanics, he’s got a sharp eye for precision – meaning no detail goes unnoticed. Whether it’s a new build or a tricky conversion, Nat makes sure it’s done properly, with care and accuracy.

Paul – Service Engineer
Paul came to us as an experienced appliances engineer, ready to take on the Aga world – and he’s quickly become a key player in our servicing department. Now specialising in oil and electric Agas, he’s known for his methodical approach, steady head and problem-solving skills. Customers (and colleagues) love his calm, can-do nature.

Janet – Accounts & All-Round Hero
Janet is our numbers whizz – if it involves accounts, she’s got it covered. But she’s also the office cake-baker, advice-giver and all-round warm and generous soul. Quite honestly, Rural Ranges wouldn’t be half as bright (or tasty) without her!

Andrew – Shop & Online Development
Alison’s younger brother Andrew joined the team in early 2025 and wasted no time in shaking things up – in the best way. He’s already transformed both our shop and online offering, with even bigger plans in store for 2026 and beyond. Watch this space!

Emma – Remote Support & Finance
Working behind the scenes (and remotely), Emma takes on the trickier figures and the time-consuming tasks Alison would rather not touch! She’s whip-smart with anything number-based and keeps everything running smoothly. Oh, and yes – she’s also part of the family, as Alison’s younger sister.
