Controllable Agas and their Energy Usage

Want to save even more?

  • For greatest savings, utilise a timer for the ovens, bringing up to temperature as and when required.

  • For good savings, run the Aga at a low temperature of 120 - 130⁰, bringing up to 180-200⁰ for use.

  • For moderate savings, run the ovens at 180⁰ continually.

  • Always leave the hobs off, turning on only for use.

  • For 4 oven models, leaving the ovens at setting 4 will result in far greater savings versus setting them at 8. Alternatively, only turn on the hot cupboard for busy cooking days or when more room heat is required.

For more information, visit our page on Making the Most of Your Electrickit.

4 oven Agas with the optional high temperature hot cupboard may use up to an extra 1.96kWh per week, which under October 2025 energy prices is £0.52. Energy consumption also varies depending on optional hob types and whether an independent warming plate is installed.
