With the strain on all of our finances at present, transparency and detailed data is becoming more important than ever. So what are the potential savings to be enjoyed?

So is converting my Aga to eControl a worthwhile investment?

The short answer is yes!

Converting a Gas 2 oven Aga will save you £1142.79 a year.

Converting an Oil 2 oven Aga will save you £1291.77 a year.

Converting a 13amp 2 oven Aga will save you £2305.77 a year.

Payback time on conversion for Aga running on natural gas = 173 weeks

Payback time on conversion for Aga running on oil = 153 weeks

Payback time on conversion for Aga running on 13Amp electric = 86 weeks

*Our payback times have been calculated on what we see as typical eControl use for a 2 oven Aga. This consists of turning on only for use with a wifi timer for 4 months of the year (May- August) at 29.41 kWh, running in eco for 4 months of the year (March, April, September and October) at 640.64 kWh, and running on normal for 4 months of the year (November – February) at 990.08 kWh. We have aso allocated 1 hours hob use per day at a total of 105.56 kWh. Payback times can be further reduced with increased use of wifi timers and eco function. Prices have been calculated using the April price cap of £0.245 kw/h.
