One of the most game changing features of the ElectricKit Advanced conversion is the ability to connect your Aga to the Smart Life app, giving you remote access to your cooker from your phone or mobile device.
Once connected, you can use the app to turn your ovens on and off, adjust temperatures, activate Rest Mode and set timers, whether you are at home or away.

It is worth checking that your Wi-Fi signal is strong around the cooker before you begin, as a weak signal can prevent the ElectricKit controller from being discovered during pairing.
Go to the app store on your phone or mobile device and search for Smart Life.
Download and install the Smart Life app onto your device.
Open the app and select the option to register for a new account.
You may get asked some questions around permissions - please review these and approve where relevant.
Register using your email address.
Smart Life will ask you to verify your email address. Once you have done this, create a password for your account.
You can then sign in using your newly created Smart Life account.
Once you are signed into Smart Life:
Your home is now set up within Smart Life and you are ready to add your cooker.
You can also give other members of your household access to the cooker through Smart Life.
To do this, select your newly created home name and choose Add Member.
Access can be shared using another person's Smart Life account, by text message or by sharing a link.
You don't need to do this during the initial setup. Other users can be added at any time.
Before attempting to pair the cooker, it needs to be completely powered down.
Turn the cooker off at the isolator switch next to the appliance.
Leave it switched off for 10 minutes. This is important as it allows all of the ElectricKit systems to fully power down before you begin the pairing process.
You can then sign in using your newly created Smart Life account.
After the cooker has been switched off for 10 minutes, turn the power back on at the isolator. You now need to start the pairing process straight away.
Immediately after restarting the cooker:
Allow the app a few seconds to search for nearby devices.
Oven should automatically appear as an available device. Select Oven to continue.
If the cooker isn't discovered after a few seconds, check the strength of your Wi-Fi signal around your Aga. A weak Wi-Fi connection can prevent Smart Life from finding the ElectricKit controller.
Once you have checked your Wi-Fi connection, repeat the pairing process.
After selecting Oven, Smart Life will ask you for your Wi-Fi network details.
Enter:
The app will then connect to the ElectricKit controller.
The settings are configured automatically, so you shouldn't need to carry out any additional setup.
Once the cooker has been successfully added, you can change its name within Smart Life.
Select the Edit option and give the cooker a name that makes sense to you.
When you are happy with it, select Done.
Your ElectricKit Advanced cooker is now paired with Smart Life and ready to use.
Once connected, Smart Life gives you remote access to a number of your ElectricKit Advanced controls.
Through the app you can:
Because the system is internet connected, you can access these controls remotely rather than needing to be standing in front of your cooker.
This can be particularly useful when you want your Aga ready for you when you get home, or simply want to check or adjust your cooker when you are away.
You shouldn't need to pair your cooker again every time it loses power. Your Wi-Fi network settings are stored within the ElectricKit controller.
If your Aga is switched off or you experience a power cut, wait approximately five minutes after power has been restored. The cooker should automatically reconnect to Smart Life.
You can also use Smart Life to check whether any software updates are available for your ElectricKit controller.

If an update is available, it will be shown here.
If there are no updates available, you will simply see the current software version installed on your ElectricKit.
If your cooker doesn't appear when you try to add it, start by checking that you have followed the initial power-down procedure correctly. The cooker should be switched off at its isolator for the full 10 minutes before restarting it and immediately beginning the pairing process.
You should also check that there is a good Wi-Fi signal at the cooker and that you are entering the correct Wi-Fi network details and password.
Once successfully paired, your ElectricKit Advanced should remember its network settings, so normal power interruptions shouldn't require you to repeat the pairing process.
