Aga Nachos and Caramelised Onion Dip Recipe


Perfect for using up leftover tortilla wraps, these quick homemade nachos are a tasty treat that are easy to make on the Aga hotplate or on a baking tray in the oven. Pair with our delicious caramelised onion dip which uses leftover chutney for a quick, flavourful dip.


Ingredients

Nachos:
Packet of tortilla wraps
olive oil
salt and seasoning 

Dip:
100g sour cream
50g mayonnaise
100g of caramelised onion chutney
Generous pinch of cumin
Generous pinch of garlic granules 
Salt and pepper to taste

Method - Aga Tortilla Chips 

These homemade tortilla crisps are super simple to make using an Aga hotplate. Simply brush both side of the tortilla wraps with oil and toast each side for a couple of minutes on the simmering hotplate (or Electrickit hotplate at level 5) until browned and crisp. 

Remove from the hot plate and quickly cut into triangles while still hot, then sprinkle with salt. You can also add further seasoning such as chilli powder or paprika for an extra kick.

Once cooled they will be nice and crisp.

Method - Dip 

Combine all the ingredients into a bowl and season to taste. Chill before serving.
