Early 2025 saw an epic East Coast trip, where we covered 16 states in 8 days!
We kicked off in Maine, with a gas service, insulation top up and replacement lids, along with other aesthetic tweaks. We also checked our client’s 2 Aga 6:4s for safety. The Aga 6:4 (S series) is a conventional cooker "dressed up" to look like an Aga and like any gas appliance, should be regularly serviced and tested for gas safety.
Next up, we stayed with the wonderful Betsy in New Hampshire, where we converted 2 Agas to the Electrickit Classic, adding an induction hob upgrade. We fell in love with both locations, where we were never far from the water - serene and unspoilt natural beauty. We made the most of our time here, with time spent kayaking on the lakes. We are so grateful to our incredible clients who so often go above and beyond to make our trips memorable.

Next up, we moved onto Massachusetts, where we were very excited to meet the famous Aga cook Brent! Steve and Richard were well looked after with a delicious steak dinner. Although his Aga had been serviced with more regularity than many of those we see in the US, the Aga was in need of a little deeper TLC. We repacked the Aga, improving its insulation with a ceramic blanket and thoroughly serviced throughout.
Finally, we replaced the chrome domes with black enamel. This is a really popular look in the US and something we seem to be doing with some regularity. It’s fascinating to see how trends and tastes vary either side of the water!
We then moved on to Connecticut to install this beautiful bespoke ElectricKit Classic Aga with oyster enamel, black enamel domes (notice a trend here?!) and brass. A serious cooker for a serious cook! Our client was a dream to work with - we are so grateful to every one of our fabulous customers & can’t wait to see the finished kitchen reveal soon!

Onto Philadelphia for some routine servicing and a gas Dual Control with ongoing issues since purchased from new. We were introduced to the famous Pittsburgh sandwich - a simple sarnie will never be the same again - before heading to Port Deposit, Maryland.
Time for the guys to let their hair down and enjoy some well earned rest. A beautiful place to stay - on the waterfront, in a historic cottage, with some great hosts and live music just around the corner (where they bonded with the band!).

From Pittsburgh, it was back on the road for a full re-insulation and service, followed by a trip to the Conowingo Dam on the Susquehanna River. This is a world famous spot for Bald Eagles, who come to fish at the base of the dam. The eagles refused to play ball for the photo opportunity but the water was positively swimming with fish and Steve and Richard watched endless huge specimens being hauled from the water.
This was a particularly hot trip and the black vultures trying to cool themselves in the sun - wings open and gently shaking - was rather an exotic sight for us brits!
Then, onwards we went across Virginia, carrying out services as we went.

Rounding up our East coast trip, we dismantled and rebuilt a 4 oven gas Aga. We reinsulated throughout, renewed gaskets and seals and fully serviced. We stayed in a fantastic cabin in the woods, amongst the wildlife - thankfully the bears stayed away! At the clients property we watched hummingbirds feeding; a truly special experience.
Finally, we moved onto North Carolina for some maintenance and servicing visits.
Another fantastic trip. We left exhausted, exhilarated and more in love with this fascinating and diverse country than ever before.
